DR. KOFI BOATENG
Dr. Kofi Boateng

Dr. Kofi Boateng is an accomplished finance and nonprofit executive with over four decades of experience in institutional leadership, financial management, and organizational turnaround. He has held senior leadership roles with major international and nonprofit institutions, including the Africa-America Institute and the World Trade Centers Association, where he successfully led financial restructuring, governance transitions, and long-term sustainability strategies.
His career includes serving as Executive Director of the National Puerto Rican Forum and the West Harlem Development Corporation, where he oversaw multimillion-dollar budgets, expanded community services, and implemented landmark development and community benefits initiatives. Dr. Boateng also brings private-sector expertise as a founder of financial and commodities brokerage firms, as well as a professional background in auditing and accounting with KPMG and Prudential Insurance Company.
As Chief Financial Officer of the W.E.B. Du Bois Museum Foundation, Dr. Boateng provides strategic financial oversight and governance to support the preservation, growth, and global impact of the Du Bois Museum and Library Complex.
