Deborah Rose

Although Deborah Rose grew up in suburban New York, she now lives in Maryland, with an office in Boston, and her heart with the people of Yamoransa, Ghana. Deborah spent over 20 years designing and working with federal health data systems in the US and other countries.
Current projects include bringing clean water and sanitation systems to a small village in Ghana, along with a new philosophy of locally sustainable development; and developing guidelines for the formulation, assignment, protection, and use of national identification numbering frameworks globally.
She was awarded the Yale Medal in 2006; she was enstooled as Nana Abena Nkosuo Hemaa, Queen Mother for Development for Yamoransa, Ghana in May 2014; and she is currently a Visiting Scholar at the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Deborah has a BA, MPH, and PhD. from Yale, and SM from Harvard.
